The rain held off till after the walk! We were privileged to have representatives from the Murals Society accompany a group of walkers. All enjoyed the Vancouver Farmers' Market and urban city areas, with more than two dozen beautiful murals scattered closely throughout downtown and neighborhood streets.

Two premier Clark County Parks with non-stop water views (and a birding paradise) are connected with a flat, paved trail. No less than three large ships were in the Columbia River at Frenchman's Bar, and many fishermen.

Half Marathon Walk Challenge

All Weather Walkers and Vancouver USA Volkssporters worked together to bring you 5 beautiful and unique hikes on Washington's most famous volcano. Registration was at Toutle High School, then walkers needed to drive to various Start Points on the mountain.

Silver Lake Visitors Center/Seaquest State Park; 5k, Rated 1+; 10k, Rated 2+
Friday, August 24 thru Sunday, September 9.
A special permit was required by the US Forest Service. Hike to the crater rim for close-up views inside the constantly evolving volcano, and panoramic views of the Cascades.
