how difficult are your walks?
All Weather Walkers uses a standard rating system for all of our walks that includes a score for terrain (whether it's all on asphalt or if there are roots, gravel, steps, or other obstacles to navigate), and a score for incline (how many hills or slopes there are.) Each walk is graded by degree of difficulty. Some of our walks are graded as 1A for easy and flat, but others do have a hill or two which are rated as 2, or a trail or two with roots and rated as a B or C. Five of the walks rated as a 1 and of those three are rate A and two as B. Four walks are rated as a 2 and three of them are rate as a B and one as a C. Stevenson is the most challenging walk-rated as a 2C. Click herefor a detailed explanation of the rating system.

I'm a beginning walker. what if I can't walk 5k? can I still join?
Yes! Even though walking 5K may be a challenge for you at this time, we stand ready to support you and offer our hand of friendship. We welcome volunteers to help run our events and join in our monthly meetings and potlucks. Each of our events has a 5K option in addition to the 10K and there are often others who are willing to walk at a slower pace to keep you company.
